As part of a maintenance service contract for your CCTV equipment, our engineer will perform the following tasks: 

• Visually inspect all major components and connections for signs of wear or damage.  

• Check all control devices (DVR, NVR, multiplexers, video switchers, telemetry units, cameras etc.) for proper operation.  

• Test power supplies and backup batteries, including charge rates. 

• Visually inspect environmental conditions for adverse effects, including vegetation or shrubs obscuring camera image 

• Check the date and time settings on the device and update the settings if necessary.  

• Check the integrity of all cables and check the outer insulation for damage.  

• Clean cable fasteners to ensure safety (if any) are working properly  

• Visual inspection of air outlet on all control devices, including PCs 

• Clean cameras, lenses, and body surfaces as needed.  

• Check all glands and gaskets on external devices. 

 • Clean surfaces of control equipment, including PC (if applicable).  

• Create regular backups and check that they are recoverable. View and customise as needed 

• Inspect brackets, towers, and fasteners for corrosion or damage. Check that the screws/brackets are properly tightened  

• Check that the washer/wiper units and wiper blades (if equipped) are working properly and top up the washer fluid reservoir if necessary  • Check the recording quality during day hour and night mode • Check the pan and tilt unit (if applicable), including attachments, electrical connections and functions. • Test successful transmission of CCTV images to a remote location (if applicable)  • Ensure warning signs are in place  • Check all camera pre-sets  • Test all alarm pre-sets (if applicable)
